This is the beginning of the dolphin swim adventures in Cancun, where people of all ages can have a more personal interaction with dolphins in shallow waters and without having to swim. The Dolphin Encounter Swim program is a great option in Cancun for people that prefer to swim with the dolphins in Cancun, Mexico or in the surrounding areas, in a more peaceful environment where they can learn and understand better dolphin behavior through an educational session with fun activities.
The Dolphin Encounter, is a swim program takes place in Isla Mujeres, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya, all of them very close to Cancun. The duration of this program is of 45 minutes, on daily schedules that start around 9:00 am, with a final evening program at 3:00 pm. Kids from 1- 7 years old are welcome to enjoy this program, but an adult must be with them during the activity. Kids over 11 years old can do the Dolphin Encounter on their own.
When arriving to the Dolphin Discovery facilities, participants head to the dolphinarium where they will first take part of a brief orientation about dolphins, and put on a life-vest before getting into the water. The group (maximum 12 persons) then will continue to meet the dolphins as the Dolphin Encounter program begins in a special platform inside the turquoise ocean. A professional trainer will be in the water with the group at all times.
The Dolphin Encounter includes an educational session imparted by a professional trainer, who will provide guests with dolphin behavior facts while the group interacts with the dolphins in the waist-deep water. Some of the delightful activities that the Dolphin Encounter includes begin with a friendly handshake and an adorable kiss (perfect photo & video moment). After meeting with these beautiful creatures, participants will experience charming dolphin’s songs that end with a loving hug.
Other special activities to enjoy after participating in the dolphin swim programs Cancun, include relaxing in snack bars, pools and solariums, as well as additional interaction programs with sharks, rays, sea lions and manatees (depending on location).
